Hey out there! I just wanted to give a shout about using your gifts- don't you feel INSPIRED when you're using the gifts God has given you?!?! Be it serving, or hospitality, or encouraging- I feel inspired (and spiritually recharged even if I'm physically exhausted) after serving out of a gifting. We had a rehearsal this afternoon in preparing for leading worship at the Thursday healing service. (Trinity is having 7 days of nightly healing services this week!) Though I was totally drained (and my headache came rushing back as soon as we were done) I just felt so alive! So, this is just a reminder that if you get in a rut- get out and serve- use what He's given you. It not only blesses those who receive your gift, it will bless you as well. I hope none of you is thinking "I don't really have any gifts"". 1 Corinthians 7:7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. YOU are part of each one- so don't give me any of that "I don't have any" blah blah blah! If you are truly unsure of your giftings, I'd encourage you to do some research- try out the gifts and see if any of them fits! v. 27 Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. Play your part to the Glory of God- and you (and we) will be blessed!
Good night-

This was good for me to read. I'm trying to assess my committments and areas of service for the fall/winter. Worship would be AWESOME, but I almost feel like its self-serving since I enjoy it so much. What are some ways to think-thru acts of service? Should we always enjoy serving if we are serving in our giftings? (Probably not always...but most of the time, right?) Aside from prayer and fasting, how do you know when God is say "serve here"?
Hello dear one,
Thanks for sharing the updated photos from your trip and of the family. The kids are growing up so fast. It looks like you had a fabulous time in Texas. You are so right with how uplifting it is to use your spiritual gifts. Praise God how He uses His people in so many different ways. God is so amazing!!! I hope the rest of your week goes well. We're camping until Saturday. Love to you and the family. Dawn
