Hello out there-
Just a quick note to tell you what's most been inspiring me as of late. It's the crazy paradox of freedom through obedience and discipline. This is a topic I was REALLY into during grad school and the year or two after. But, life has distanced it from me and the Lord has brought it back to light. There are many seeming "paradoxes" in Scripture. Ryan preached on the "Foolishness of God" this morning- and it was a great reminder. "18For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God." (1 Cor 1:18) Look it up and read on from there... But, the point is - the world will see obedience and self-discipline and submission to the Lord and His will as shackles, stifling spontaneity and creativity, and bondage. But to those who are the Lord's- it is true life, peace, joy, fulfillment, and true freedom. So, I leave you with that thought as I head to bed. Blessings and joy,

How interesting!! I finished reading Bruce's book today and that same verse jumped out at me. I instantly felt that I needed to memorize it. And now I"m reading it again in your blog. Hmmm....Anyway, I'm loving your this blog setup. What great pictures of CT. Looks like you guys were having a blast! And such beautiful smiles!! Now I have to check out Ryan's blog. Talk soon.
